France – Capital Paris

Paris – the city of love – a place to be, not only for lovers. If you love deli, baguettes or pastries you will find yourself in heaven. France capital itself has 20 districts (Arrondissements) and over 2 Millions of citzizens. It’s really a huge capital, so you should take public transport (Metro, Busses), if possible or walk to feel the flair. You can spot the Eiffeltower from far away.

Frankreich – Hauptstadt Paris

Best time for a Trip to France

Paris is wonderful at every season of the year but more crowded – if this is possible – at summer. Paris is magical, so you can spend days, weeks or fall in love with the city and stay forever. However there are enough instagramable places each stay.

Beste Reisezeit

How to get there

Paris has two airports Charles de Gaulle, located at the North and Orly, locatedat the South. The connection to the city is really good, from both airports. You need to take one of the trains to get to the city in about 45 min. The express trains don’t stop at every station, so you can get faster to the city. We arrived at Charles de Gaulle and took RER B to Gare du Nord.

Anreise

Getting around

Paris puplic transport is really good. If you don’t want to walk (don’t forget that it is a huge city), take the Metro 9 or Bus 27 to get around the attractions. Notice to always take care of your belongings and that you can use a ticket to change from Metro to Bus but not the other way. There are several app’s for Metro / Bus transportation through Paris, which you can even use offline.

France – Paris La Tour Eiffel / Eiffeltower

The Eiffeltower, located at 7. Arrondissement – Champ de Mars and nearby the Seine, probably is one of the most popular attractions of the world. You will understand why, when seeing it. It was built from 1887 to 1889 as entrance to the World Expo in memory of the 100. anniversary of the french revolution.

France – Paris – Trocadero

The most popular Instagram spot to take pictures from the Eiffeltower is the plateau of Trocadero (Metro M 6 or M 9) and it‘s stairs. It’s so, so crowded there. Get up before sunrise not to have thousand of people on your pictures or just don’t care about it.

If you want a great view over the Seine and the Eiffeltower at the background, just walk a few minutes to get to the bridge.

France – Musée Du Louvre / The Louvre Museum

If you love Museums, you have to go there to spend days and days and days there (Metro 1 or 7  Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre). Don’t miss to have a look at Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece Mona Lisa. If not the architecture is worth going to nevertheless.

This cute village is known for it’s stunning coast line and white calck cliffs. It’s some hours away from Paris but absolutely worth going to.

France – Le Mont Saint Michel – UNESCO

This little Island has become a famous place, visited by more than 2 Million Tourists every year. The village itself has only 30 permanent residents. Most people just head there to take pictures with the island at the background, but you really should take to go inside and visit the monastery. If you love Puffins, you will find them at a place about two hours drive away.
